Inflammation is a protective response that occurs as a result of tissue injury. Inflammation serves to destroy, dilute, or wall off the injurious agent or injured tissue. However, this response also sets into motion a cascade of events that heal and repair damaged tissue.
Unfortunately, too much inflammation causes problems instead of repairing damaged tissue. Most Americans eat a diet that favors a 12:1 (omega-6 to omega-3) ratio. This means most American diets are prone to an inflammatory state. The ideal ratio is 4:1 (omega-6 to omega-3) or less.
Proper nutrition helps reduce biochemical irritation which reduces joint restrictions. This allows our bodies to function properly and reduce pain. So, I conclude with this: inflammation is a needed process in our body, but too much can cause biochemical irritation, increased sympathetic activity, increased muscle tonicity, and finally joint restriction. Therefore eat more healthy, stay active, alleviate stress, and you will live a much more enjoyable life.
Why Use Nutritional Supplements?
Supplements are to be used as intended, to supplement your diet. Therefore, if your diet lacks essential nutrients, you will need a way to supplement your current dietary intake.
We use four specific supplement companies: Anabolic Labs, Douglas Labs, DaVinci Labs, and Carlson Labs.
Douglas, DaVinci, and Carlson Labs are three of the roughly five companies stamped with the NNFA GMP seal. Anabolic labs is the only supplement company that obtains a Pharmaceutical GMP certification. This means these companies are third-party regulated, and provide both internal and external assays. The assay states whether or not the material in the product is actually the product. These companies use the highest quality raw materials, yielding high quality products.
All of the other companies have absolutely no regulations. So if you buy from these companies, there is no guarantee of what you are actually taking. Our physicians are concerned about your health, that is why we only use the highest quality products.
