A: No. The doctors at Active Spine & Rehab Center recognize the value of x-rays (and other various diagnostic tests) and will refer patients whose history and physical exam indicate the need for further investagation to a trusted facility.
Q: Are adjustments necessary parts of the treatment?
A: No. Although chiropractic adjustments are very beneficial, they are not always necessary. Each patient is unique and their treatment may differ. We use a variety of treatment options including: spinal and extremity manipulation, rehabilitation, massage therapy, physical modalities, and nutritional counseling.
Q: Do I have to keep coming back for treatments?
A: No. Although you may be required to come back for several treatments in the beginning, we educate our patients so they do not become reliant on passive care.
Q: I have sciatica, can you help?
A: Yes. Sciatica is caused from an irritated sciatic nerve. During the initial physical exam, our doctors are trained to find the source of the irritation, and establish specific treatment protocols based on their findings.
Q: Does the adjustment hurt?
A: Most of our patients present to our office in pain. This is mostly due to the inflammed condition of their body. The chiropractic adjustment is not intended to cause pain, and actually has a pain-relieving effect.
